Glazing options, decorative glazing and muntins

When choosing windows for your home, it is important to decide for a suitable window frame as well as for the right type of glazing.

Depending on your wishes and needs, you can choose between three glazing types: A – Soundproof glazing; B – Triple glazing; C – Double glazing; and between different versions of each type, whose technical properties are described in the Table of thermal transmittance and translucency below.

Beside thermal properties, you should also consider decorative and functional properties of each glazing option. If you want your windows to look rustic, you can decide for decorative muntins. In rooms, where you need plenty of light but, at the same time, you do not want that one can look through the window inside the house (this usually applies for bathrooms), you can decide for decorative glazing. In this way, you will meet the needs for privacy as well as lightness of a room.
